Marvel Fans, Assemble. Avengers: Endgame which released in April 2019 has still been stuck in many Marvel fans heads and it includes us too. This post consists of multiple hidden Easter Eggs which we found in the movie after repeatedly viewing it. If you are not a Marvel Fan, then, sorry this post is not for you. Do start to watch those movies - they are a Blast!

If you are a Marvel fan, then yes you might have read many of these but I guess there might be few which you might not have stumbled upon. SPOILER ALERT! THIS POST HAS MANY SPOILERS FROM AVENGERS ENDGAME! PLEASE READ IT ONLY IF YOU HAVE WATCHED THE MOVIE!

1. MARVEL STUDIOS LOGO

Yes, many people feel this was the same logo which appears in almost any other Marvel movie, but no this isn't the same. If you closely observe, the heroes which have been snapped out of existence in "Avengers: Infinity War" are not here in the opening credits. This is a very small but beautiful nod to their small details saga.

Endgame Intro -

2. THOR AIMS FOR THE HEAD

This was not a very big easter egg but a very clever nod to their previous Avengers film where Thor attacks Thanos in his armor around the chest, while Thanos still snaps his fingers & says this dialogue to Thor - "You should've gone for the head". And, guess what, he does and this dimension Thanos dies at the start of the movie itself.

3. DIRECTOR JOE RUSSO & THANOS CREATOR JIM STARLIN MAKE CAMEOS

It is not a hidden fact that director Joe Russo is making his first cameo in this movie. He has already appeared in his previous directorial movies - "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" & "Captain America: Civil War". He has also made a very short cameo in a deleted scene from "Avengers: Infinity War". The surprise was the comic creator of Thanos - Jim Starlin also makes a cameo in this movie. Both the characters are in the therapy group Steve Rogers runs for the betterment of people after the Snap.

4. BLACK WIDOW's BALLET SHOES

After the therapy, Cap goes to visit Natasha at her place. It's a very heartfelt conversation between these 2 characters, but when you keenly observe the entire scene, you will see a pair of ballet shoes on her desk which is a callback to the dancing she did at Red Room while becoming Black Widow.

You can observe on the right chair -

5. 616

This is the Easter Egg which goes unnoticed by even the huge Marvel fans as they consider this as just a typical number, but it is not. This number appears in the storehouse where we find that a rat just walks on the remote of the Scott Lang's van & the quantum tunnel gets activated & Ant-Man returns. This number is of significance as it signifies Earth-616 which is one of the many universes like Earth-311, Earth-1610 in the Marvel Comics. And this Earth-616 is where most comic book stories take place and it is the MAIN universe in the comics.

You can see it on the nameplate -

6. UNDERWATER EARTHQUAKE

This is a scene where Rocket is explaining to the team of the remaining Avengers that after Thanos's snap, there are huge seismic changes to Earth. This is when Okoye mentions that there has also been an underwater earthquake, which can be a nod to "Namor" - another amazing character in the Marvel comics. But, this is not a sure easter egg as the ownership of the character is still with Universal Pictures. But, we keep our fingers crossed.

7. TIME HEIST

Ant-Man, after exiting the quantum tunnel, after meeting her grown daughter Cassie comes to meet Cap & Natasha. He explains that if we can somehow enter the quantum tunnel at a certain point in time & get out at another point in time, we can undo the snap. They go to meet Tony & explain this "Time Heist" mentioned by Scott. This is a nod to the first "Ant-Man" movie where the villain Yellowjacket exclaims, “Did you think you could stop the future with a heist?”. This is how he may have got the name, a very cool and hidden nod.

8. MORGAN H. STARK

Tony & Pepper talked at the beginning of "Avengers: Infinity War" that Tony had a dream that they had a daughter & they named her Morgan Stark after Tony’s disreputable cousin. It turns out Tony did name his adorable daughter Morgan in this movie.

9. LEBOWSKI

During the film, Stark calls fat Thor “Lebowski,” a reference to “The Dude” in the 1998 cult favorite The Big Lebowski. What does this have to do with Marvel? Jeff Bridges, who played the protagonist in that film, also portrayed the first-ever MCU villain in Iron Man.

Movie Lebowski -

10. THE SCENE REPRESENTED TONY's ARC REACTOR

This is the scene when they are ready to go through the quantum tunnel to their respective locations to gather the stones. When they are ready to go, they all take their hands & join them together just as a gesture of teamwork. If we look closely, that shot looks like Tony's Arc Reactor which is a great easter egg.

11. THE ELEVATOR FIGHT REMAKE

This is the biggest & possibly amazing nod to the great "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" Elevator fight which is one of the best MCU fights to date. The arrangement is pretty much similar, but the fight gets saved by another easter egg.

12. "HAIL HYDRA"

These two words said by Cap made the baddies think that he is also loyal to Hydra which is an evil organization & gives Loki's scepter to Cap. If you thought that these words were so common, they are not. In the Marvel comics, these words are uttered by a corrupt, loyal to Hydra Captain America, which most fans hated & Endgame touched upon that thing for their betterment with an amazing easter egg.

13. "I CAN DO THIS ALL DAY"

When the 2012 Captain America meets the 2023 Captain America, he says this hook line of a dialogue of Captain America which he first mentioned in the first Captain America movie where he was cornered to a fight. The modern 2023 Cap replies with enough groan-age to satisfy theaters full of fans: “Yeah, I know.”

14. ROSCOE

While undercover at a S.H.I.E.L.D. facility with Tony Stark in the year 1970, Steve wears a maintenance uniform with the name “Roscoe” on it, which is possibly a reference to Roscoe Simons, a minor character who briefly adopted the Captain America mantle back in the 1970s.

You can observe on his uniform -

15. CAMP LEHIGH

The camp where Tony & Cap visit to get the Pym particles & Tesseract is the same Camp where Cap had been endured some crazy training and received the serum that turned him into Captain America.

16. ORIGINAL ANT-MAN SUIT

At the same place in 1970, we see a younger Hank Pym - the original Ant-Man & his helmet on the desk. That was a very clever nod to the original Ant-Man suit from the comics.

17. BUDAPEST REFERENCE

We first heard this reference in the first Avengers movie where Hawkeye & Black Widow grew close & became the best of friends who they were. While they were going to Vormir, on the space flight, Clint mentions they're "a long way from Budapest". We want to know what happened in Budapest & was mostly going to be covered in the solo Black Widow movie which was scheduled to release this May, but due to COVID-19, we'll have to still wait for the story of Budapest.

18. STAN LEE's LAST CAMEO

As we all know, the legendary creator of Marvel universe Stan Lee is no more & this was his very last cameo which appeared him in 1970s New Jersey. He yells to a man "Hey man, make love, not war!". And his car plate also read "Nuff Said" which is one of his catchphrases.

19. THE REAL JARVIS

After Tony & Howard share a very emotional & tender moment, Howard goes near his car and calls his chauffeur as Jarvis. Yes, we know who Jarvis is right? Jarvis is an A.I. Tony created, but before that A.I., he was his father's chauffeur, which is a cool nod.

20. PROFESSOR HULK WEILDS THE NANO GAUNTLET

This is the very definitive moment we all were waiting. Will the snap be successful in bringing everybody back or will it fail? After the snap, Professor Hulk's hand is all burnt up and he cannot even stand up with the amount of energy contained in the Infinity Stones. This scene proved that even with the strength of Hulk, the Gauntlet was much much more powerful.

21. CAPTAIN AMERICA WEILDS MJÖLNIR

This was one of the many goosebumps generating moments in what is THE BEST FINAL FIGHT IN A FILM. Thor is getting beaten up by Thanos when we see a floating Mjölnir, and we thought that Thor had maybe called it, but this was a big shock to see that Captain America wielded it and hit Thanos really bad which is followed by Thor's "I Knew It". He always knew Cap was going to be Worthy someday & this was the moment when Cap came to know about his worthiness.

22. CAPTAIN AMERICA's SHIELD GETS BROKEN

Again another hard-hitting moment is when Thanos starts hitting Cap's shield with his Double-Edged Sword which even broke the unbreakable Vibranium Shield which Cap had. This was a scene from the comics where Thanos does the same thing.

23. "ON YOUR LEFT"

This is the iconic scene when Steve is even ready to fight the entire Thanos's army alone. He hears a familiar voice that contains a familiar phrase. It is none other than Sam aka Falcon who repeats the iconic phrase from "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" which is an iconic nod to their first meet.

24. HOWARD THE DUCK & WASP

A definitive moment that no fan expected was the very famous PORTALS scene. There are portals everywhere & all our heroes are coming out of it. In the same scene, if we observe closely when Wasp comes back, we can see there is a really small portal as she flies through it as small & enlarges. In this same scene, just on the right of Wasp, we see, Howard The Duck coming with a gun to fight the battle. Howard has also been seen before in the Guardians movies, but we did not expect him.

You can see the portal of wasp is small & on the right side, you can spot Howard -

25. "AVENGERS ASSEMBLE"

This was the long due fan-favorite dialogue which was teased at the end of "Avengers: Age of Ultron" but only half was delivered. We were dying for Cap to lead all our heroes into their final battle with Thanos & this was the moment when we screamed and hooted very loud.

26. RESCUE ARRIVAL

Pepper Potts arrives on the battlefield by wearing the suit Tony had created for her. He thinks that Pepper never wears anything he gives to her, and this scene proved that wrong & was a clever little nod to that.

27. A-FORCE

This was a team that nobody expected to be made but was in our minds for some time. All the women, except Black Widow, come together to help Captain Marvel take the gauntlet and reach the other side by fighting with Thanos's huge army.

28. TONY & PETER's HUG

After Peter aka Spider-Man gets dusted in the hands of Tony in "Avengers: Infinity War", we see Tony down as Peter is like a son to him. The entire idea of doing a time travel was for Peter, & they hugged it out on the battlefield & we can see the teary-eyed Tony just embracing the hug.

29. DR. STRANGE INDICATING TONY STARK

I think this is that easter egg which nobody caught at the very first viewing. Hear us out on this one. Dr. Strange indicates Tony aka Iron Man by showing his index finger which we Marvel fans firstly read as the only possibility in which the Avengers win. But, later, when we rewatched the movie again & again, we found a clever easter egg. During the meeting of Tony with his father Howard in the 1970s, when they first meet, Howard introduces himself any takes his hand forward to shake. This time Tony is a little nervous, and just pulls his index finger. This is when Howard says, "Shake It, Don't Pull It". So, back to the fight, when Dr. Strange shows his index finger, it also means that he is telling Iron Man to shake the stones & take it, and not to pull the gauntlet. SHOCKED? Yes, we were also when we came to know about this & began to love the movie even more. And one more nod was to "Avengers: Infinity War". Dr. Strange showing his index finger makes Tony remember that when they captured Thanos on his planet Titan, they were trying to pull the Gauntlet out of his hand which failed. So this time, he shakes the stones out. EVEN MORE, SHOCKED? YEAH, WE ARE TOO!

30. "I AM IRON MAN"

Tony Stark’s last words as a superhero were exactly like his first, as he responded to Thanos’s false claim that he was “inevitable” by proclaiming, “and I am Iron Man,” before snapping his Infinity Gauntlet–clad fingers.

31. PROOF THAT TONY STARK HAS A HEART

Tony’s first-ever arc reactor, the one that Pepper turned into a memento in the first Iron Man, features in Tony’s funeral, still inscribed with the words “Proof That Tony Stark Has a Heart.” This is the same arc reactor which is also displayed before their quantum tunnel journey. The Russo Brothers gave their utmost respect to Tony Stark by dedicating many gestures to him.

32. KID FROM IRON MAN 3

The kid, Harley, who featured in Iron Man 3 who helped Tony recharge his suit also appeared at the funeral. This proves that Tony kept in touch with Harley ever since Iron Man 3 and that is really sweet.

33. CHEESEBURGERS

After Tony's funeral, we see Happy sitting with Tony's daughter Morgan. He asks her that is she hungry and what does she want to eat? This is where she replies Cheeseburgers. The first time when Tony returns from his captivity in Iron Man, he tells Happy to bring him Cheeseburgers. Like father, like daughter!

34. "YOU'RE TAKING ALL THE STUPID WITH YOU"

Cap goes to return all those stones through the quantum tunnel to the exact position and time when they were taken. Before going, he gets to talk to his dearest friend Bucky, when he says "Don’t do anything stupid until I get back” to which Bucky replies with "How can I? You’re taking all the stupid with you" This is the exact conversation that happened in the first Captain America movie just having the roles reversed.

35. OLD CAPTAIN AMERICA

Apart from the time paradoxes & loopholes that people take out, this was a very sweet moment when Captain stays in the past & lives a full life with his beloved Peggy and dances with her and just enjoys his fair share.

36. IRON MAN HAMMERING

We all know that each Marvel movie consists of either a Mid-credits scene or a Post-credits scene or sometimes both. But, as this movie was an ending to their long movie arc, it does not have any Mid-credits scene but it does have a hammering type sound in the end as a Post-credits scene. It is the exact hammering sound like Iron Man when Tony first creates his suit. We feel that Iron Man will return or something like that, but it is not the case here. It is just a really pleasant and cool nod to the very first Iron Man movie or the first MCU movie which is just a sentimental reminder where the franchise began!

These are still some of the many many hidden references in the movie. Still, I have tried to incorporate as many as I could.

We love you, 3000 IRON MAN!
